Tracy Atyeo is the owner/director of Atyeo's Dance Studio and has been operating in the heart of downtown Pembroke for the past 3 years. The studio offers dancers of all ages recreational and competitive classes in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Little Steps and Tap. Registration begins in August and classes run from September to May. Instead of an end-of-the-year dance recital, our studio produces a dance Showcase (a themed dance show). Miss Tracy has developed and implemented programs for children of all ages throughout her career, including dance, vocal and instrumental music, theatre and fine arts. She has performed on television and in many parades throughout Ontario. She has over 10 years experience in choreographing, directing, managing, and developing programs for children of all ages. She is a certified jazz and ballet instructor. Tracy has obtained a high standing in her ballet examinations through the Royal Academy of Dance, and is familiar with the A.D.A.P.T. syllabus. She has developed and implemented tap syllabi based on the soft shoe style, Stomp and Bootmen. Miss Tracy has also performed on stage with big name musical artists Gowan and Ray Lyell. Miss Tracy has won various arts awards, including the Ontario Theatre Festival's scholarship and has attended numerous workshops in Toronto, Owen Sound and Collingwood. She has performed and choregraphed in numerous works, including, "Listen", "Good & Evil", "Showcase Now", "Evolution", "Showcase Then", "What Glorious Times They Had - Nellie McClung", "The Spirit of Graffiti", "The Truth about Cinderella", "The Glass Menagerie", "Big Top Talent", "Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "Dancers Give Their Regards to Broadway", "Around the World in 80 Minutes", "The Newsies" and "Kitty Cats".
